Amitabh Singh, MD

Dr. Amitabh Singh is an accomplished pediatrician and academician, with extensive experience in the field of pediatrics with a special interest in hematology-oncology. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. He also leads the division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology in the Department.

Dr. Singh received his MD in Pediatrics from BJMC in Ahmedabad in 2011. He has since held several academic and research positions at top institutions, including AIIMS, and Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya in New Delhi.

Dr. Singh's core research areas include Leukemia, Lymphoma, Thalassemia, Haemophilia, Sickle cell disease, Immunodeficiency, Supportive care, long term follow-up for chronic disorders.

He has contributed significantly to the field of pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology through his research with more than 80 indexed publications in the field.

He has served as a site PI for several studies, including access to care and the treatment protocol for relapsed refractory Hodgkin lymphoma pediatric and Ph-like acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Dr. Amitabh has also been a co-PI on various ICMR-approved projects, such as the development of a simple prognostic scoring model for newly diagnosed cytogenetically normal acute myeloid leukemia and therapeutic drug monitoring to assess the adequacy of voriconazole dosing in pediatric oncology patients.

Most recently, Dr. Amitabh has been involved in studying severe SARS CoV2 in children through his work with the World Health Organization. Overall, his work has contributed greatly to the field of pediatric oncology and has the potential to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Singh is a member of several prestigious scientific bodies. He is involved in community service and is dedicated to promoting the well-being of children in India.
