Sujay Shetty is the Pharma, Life Sciences and Medical Devices sector leader for PwC India, based out of Mumbai. He is a member of the Global Pharma Leadership team of PwC. His role involves assisting multinational and domestic clients of the firm with respect to Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Strategy Consulting, Licensing and Outsourcing for Research, Development and Manufacturing.

Mr. Shetty has over 20 years of industry experience in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices industry in India, US, UK and South East Asia. He has led four international companies at the board level (three of which were in the Pharma / Medical Device industry) including two start-ups where he was responsible for leading senior management teams and creating and executing corporate strategy.

Mr. Shetty’s key expertise includes advising Indian and MNC pharma on:

• Potential acquisition opportunities
• Commercial Strategy for India market
• Raising of funds
• India entry strategy

He is member of the Vision group for biotechnology for the state of Karnataka and is an Executive Council member of the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE).  Mr. Shetty is a Chartered Accountant, holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, two Masters Degrees in Law and Finance from the London School of Economics and executive education from Harvard Business School.
