Dr. Christopher D. Corsico is Senior Vice President, Corporate Division Medicine and Chief Medical Officer for Boehringer Ingelheim, GmbH. During his 18 year tenure at BI, Dr. Corsico has served in a variety of roles including in the United States as Regional Head of Pharmacovigilance, US Head of Regulatory Affairs and Regional Medical Director, North America. More recently he served in Corporate Headquarters in Ingelheim as Global Head of Quality, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance and Epidemiology and Global Head of Clinical Development, Medicine and Quality.
Prior to joining BI, Dr. Corsico practiced general internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corporate and as an Assistant Professor of General Internal Medicine at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Dartmouth School of Medicine.
Dr. Corsico spent two years as a Howard Hughes – National Institutes of Health Research Scholar in Bethesda, Maryland where he studied growth inhibition and regulation in mammalian cells prior to receiving his medical degree from Cornell University College of Medicine. He did his internship and residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Corsico also holds a Masters of Public Health in chronic disease epidemiology from Yale University, School of Epidemiology and Public Health.
