Kimberly A. Wagner, PhD, is a board director and seasoned executive in the life sciences, food/nutrition,and agribusiness sectors. She combines her scientific background with decades of experience in strategy and operations to improve performance in challenging and complex environments. She has successfully driven growth strategies and business transformation with companies ranging from Fortune 50 international corporations through venture-backed start-ups.
Kim brings experience as a board chair, committee chair, and independent director across public, private, and non-profit organizations. She is currently on the boards of Green Plains, Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRE) and Frontier Co-Op and previously served as a Cornell University Trustee and Independent Director at SmithFoods, Inc. Prior to being the Managing Partner at TBGD Partners, she was an equity partner at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and McKinsey & Company. Kim was also President and Chief Operating Officer at CiBO Technologies, Inc. and a Venture Partner at Flagship Pioneering.
Kim volunteers with several organizations and serves as a judge and mentor for multiple start-up competitions. She and her husband produce award-winning wines and spirits as the founders and owners of Stoutridge Distillery & Winery, a farm winery/distillery established in 2000 in Marlboro, NY.
Kim holds a PhD in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology from Harvard University, an MS in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, and a BS with distinction in Biology and Animal Science from Cornell University. She also holds multiple designations including NACD.DC, CCB.D (ESG), GCB.D (Climate & Biodiversity) and CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight.
