Dave Maraldo is the Senior Vice President, Human Health Manufacturing Operations for the Merck Manufacturing Division (MMD). In this role, he oversees manufacturing and supply of Merck’s portfolio of products and the manufacturing divisions global sciences, technology, engineering, and commercialization functions

Dave has been part of Merck for over 25 years. Over his career, Dave has supported all of Merck’s current vaccines and biologics franchises at various stages of their life cycle, including multiple roles in process development, commercialization, operations, and manufacturing science & technology. In his most recent role, Dave led Global Biologic Operations within MMD.   Previously, he served as the Co-Chair of the Development and Commercialization Review Committee (DCRC) responsible for cross-functional pharmaceutical development and manufacturing strategies across all modalities.

Dave currently serves on Merck’s Innovation Venture Board and is the executive sponsor for the Society of Women Engineers at Merck as well as several internal Employee Business Resource Group chapters. Externally, Dave sits on the Board of Advisors of the School of Engineering at Widener University and the Young Institute for the Advanced Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals.   Dave’s most advanced degrees include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA degree from Lehigh University.
