Dr. Prabuddha Kundu is Co-founder and Managing Director of Premas Biotech, a Gurgaon-based biologics development and manufacturing partner focused on protein engineering, bioprocess scale-up, and complex biomolecule production. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, underpinning his expertise in translational bioprocesses and therapeutic protein technologies.

Dr. Kundu brings over 25+ years of industry experience spanning applied bioscience and commercial execution. He began his career at Bio‑Rad Laboratories (India & Asia Pacific) and subsequently served as a research scientist at Ranbaxy Laboratories, where he contributed to biological product development before co-founding Premas in 2006.

Under his strategic leadership, Premas Biotech has scaled into a global partner with deep capabilities in challenging protein expression platforms and lean manufacturing methodologies, supporting over 900 biomolecule programs for multinational pharma and biotech collaborators. Dr. Kundu has been central to implementing lean transformation and digital traceability systems that enhance operational rigor and GMP-compliance across the organization’s development and manufacturing footprint.

He has authored more than 22 peer-reviewed publications, is named on multiple patents, and frequently represents the company at international scientific and industry forums. Acknowledged for both scientific innovation and execution excellence, Dr. Kundu continues to drive platform evolution and global collaborations that accelerate biologics development for complex therapeutic targets.
